Mike is a 23 year veteran of the construction industry. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from The Virginia Military Institute, he started his construction career in the greater Baltimore and Washington, DC area. Since 2000, Mike has called Charlotte home. He has completed over $400 million in base building and interior construction projects throughout the Carolinas.

Most recently, Mike was VP of the Architectural Specialties Division for Carolina Business Interiors covering NC and SC where he led a team that provided pre-fabricated construction solutions for clients. Before transitioning to ASD, he held a VP of Sales position leading CBI's commercial sales team on the contract furniture side of the business while learning about how workplace translates to business objectives for clients. Prior to CBI, Mike successfully completed numerous high profile building and interior projects in the region as a Project Manager at RT Dooley Construction Company, Balfour Beatty Company and Bovis Lend Lease. Some of his notable projects include: One Bank of America Center, Lowes Corporate Headquarters, National Gypsum Company, Ballantyne Village and The Levine Museum of the New South.

Mike has great people skills with a passion for building teams and projects. He is able to draw from his natural leadership skills and a diverse background of experience in construction and contract furniture to build, lead and ensure effective collaboration as a team to achieve success on any project.

Mike also holds a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University's Babcock Graduate School of Management. When he isn't reading drawings or analyzing a schedule, he enjoys attending and volunteering as a youth coach for his son's sports teams, playing golf, grilling out and reading.

Carl has 15 years of successful management with completion of over $180 million commercial interiors and base building projects in the Carolinas and across the US. His experience in construction ranges from commercial interiors with a focus on corporate headquarters, automotive, manufacturing, medical, restaurant and retail.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UNC Charlotte and is a LEED Green Associate. In his free time, he is a volunteer coach for his son and daughter’s youth sports team. He also enjoys golfing and any outdoor activities.

 

Elise R. Rainville
Senior Project Manager

Elise has 23 years of management experience of both architecture and interior projects. She holds a Bachelor of Design, Architecture from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After graduating from UNC Charlotte, she began her career with architectural firms in the Charlotte area. She has successfully completed over $600 million in building and interior construction projects throughout the Carolinas.

Most recently, while with Cresa Carolinas, she served as the  senior project manager for 450,000 SF, LPL Financial Campus in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Some of her most noteworthy projects include The Mint Museum of Craft+ Design, Bank of America Corporate Center Interior Renovations and One Bank of America Center.

Elise has a history of dedication to the success of each project representing the client’s interests while balancing budget, schedule and scope. Her greatest skill is the ability to listen to clients and translating their needs into action.   

When Elise is not managing projects she enjoys tending her community garden, hiking and kayaking with her family.
